In 1989 I translated Sweet Child of Mine into French for my girlfriend. Poetry! So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Of all the books I’ve read, I cannot answer this question for The Gunslinger. If you like Stephen King you’ll almost certainly like the novels. But each one is very different from the others. LOL, I’m not sure there’s a fan who loves every book.
Isn’t that the joke?

Me: Get armed, learn safety and local laws, practice. Fascism is here. It’s here now. Fighting back may end in your personal extinction.
Mods: BANNED
Also lemmy: “Hang this punk kid!”
Mods: Meh. I’ll allow it.

That is automatic fired in any place I’ve worked IT.
The detective stated it was “common” to allow others in the group to use his login for drug investigations
That’s an investigation in any place I’ve worked IT.
State legislation prohibits Illinois license plate reader data from being used for immigration enforcement purposes.
Like that matters.
Meh, read the damned article. It’s more damning than I can post about.
As usual, I’ll sign off by saying, get strapped, learn gun safety and local laws, practice, be ready to fucking die in a firefight. Human rights will never come cheap to defend. But in no case lie down for this shit. Don’t have a “brown people” pic, but they’re as important as any of us.
If your life is more important than your liberty, you do you, I will not judge. But I’ve made my own decision on the matter.

“You… you can’t be serious?!”
And guess where ICE is operating. I’ll give you three guesses, but you’re only going to need one.
shalafi@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Protest footage blocked as online safety act comes into forceEnglish1·2 days agoSeems like the law was meant to exclude the full-size Swiss army knife. They’re great for most pocket knife purposes! But having damaged nerves on two fingertips from non-locking knives, yeah, I won’t touch one. Although the “classic” is a great everyday pocket knife!
Funny enough, I was hiking today with a small "Rambo knife affixed to my backpack strap. Do I need that on a hike in the woods? LOL, hardly ever. But it’s nice to have when I do need it.
Thanks for saying all that! We’re clearly on the same page.

When I was a kid and we had 3 or 4 TV stations to choose from, and they all pretty much reported the same factual news. Being seen as having a bias was poisonous. People picked a news anchor to watch according to how trustworthy they felt he was. Imagine that!
Wizard and Glass will break your heart anyway, no need to live on.
